We have both begun 2020 as we mean to go on by getting started some interesting projects straight away.
Sandra really liked the look of the new Sew Over It Farrah jumpsuit which was released a couple of weeks ago. She chose the last piece of our navy cotton twill which has a little bit of stretch in it and is wide enough for the pattern – the arms of the jumpsuit are grown on so the fabric needs to be at least 140cm wide to accommodate the pattern pieces. The bonus to that is, of course, that there’ll be no sleeves to set in! Sandra also thought navy would be a good colour choice as it will transition well from winter to spring and could even be worn on cooler summer days. Jane chose a yarn project for her first of 2020 and she’s making a Mrs Moon Shadowbox scarf from the gorgeous Mrs Moon Plump DK. Picking the colours was tough but eventually she went with a mix of Blueberry, Raspberry Ripple and Rhubarb Crumble. A fruit salad of a scarf! It’s a simple knit but the supersoft yarn makes it really interesting and it’s a perfect winter evening project. Both our projects are still works in progress but are coming along well and most importantly, we are really enjoying them. We’ll keep you updated on progress and will be showing off the finished items soon.
What are you working on this month? Has January been a productive month or have you been struggling to get going this year?
