FAQs
Q. How often do I receive my sock box?
A. We send them out every 2 months as we want people to enjoy making their socks and not feel rushed. The boxes arrive at the end of Jan, March, May, July, Sept, and November.

Q. If the sock box is every 2 months, why do I pay monthly?
A. We take a lot of care to put these boxes together and curate the best yarn and gifts from small independent businesses like ours. We have spread the cost of this, and the video tutorials and hand-drawn guides, across 2 months to make it more affordable for people.

Q. When I sign up, how long before I receive my first box?
A. We open subscriptions for 2 weeks every 2 months in the cycle. Once the subscription window has closed, you will receive all the details about Sock Club in your inbox, and your box will be posted to you within the next 7-10 days.

Q. Can I ask questions about the sock club after joining?
A. Yes as we want you to get the most out of the club, we host a welcome and launch event on Zoom once your new boxes have been dispatched. Details of the welcome Zoom will be in your newsletter. Here you will learn all about the club and get your chance to ask questions. Of course, please feel free to email us if you have any burning questions beforehand.

Q. Is this club ok for new knitters?
A. If you know the basics of cast-on, knit, purl, and increasing and decreasing stitches then you will be fine. If you are a complete beginner, we suggest you try our Intro to Knitting course first.

Q. What happens if I am fairly new to knitting but know the basics but may still need support?
A. We offer video tutorials for every step of the sock construction as well as regular Zoom meet-ups for you to ask questions and get help. Our Facebook group is also very supportive and helpful too.

Q. Can I choose the colour of my yarn?
A. We choose the yarn with care to match the theme of the box, the design, and the colour is part of that. We only offer one colour option per box.

Q. Can I buy previous boxes?
A. Yes, we can supply a previous box for £40 plus postage. Please drop us an email, info@stitchesandcream.co.uk , if you would like to purchase a box.

Q. Is there a social side to Sock Club?
A. Yes, we have a Facebook Group, regular Zooms, and a Ravelry Group too, so there is plenty of time to meet fellow knitters of all abilities.

Q. Where can I get my video tutorials and the pattern?
A. We use a platform called ‘teach:able’ where everything you need is available to download or view. Once you subscribe, you can access all the information and videos there.

Q. What happens if I want to cancel?
A. You can cancel your subscription at any time after 2 months, but we will be sorry to see you go. Simply cancel on the teach:able portal, and your data will be removed. Please note you will not be able to access content once unsubscribed.

Q. Can I get the patterns without joining Sock Club?
A. Our patterns are exclusive to us and will not be available elsewhere for 12 months after release.

Q. Can I join Sock Club if I live outside the UK?
A. Yes of course. We ship all over the world and would love to build on our Sock Club global community. We will need to charge you an additional fee to cover the postal charge. This is £15 per box, or we can do 3 boxes for £25.
Ever wondered what goes into our amazing subscription boxes?
Let's take a closer look at why they are such a fabulous treat. Our team work hard to bring you wonderful goods and introduce you to new yarns and new small independent British businesses.

Write and Design Our Guides
Write our guides and commission the step-by-step drawings from a local illustrator.
